I am very grateful for your time and generosity in posting information that would be difficult if not impossible to track down on my own. I have a modest collection which are hanging in every room including the bathroom. (Somewhat to my wife's dismay, no doubt) For me it's nice to learn more about them beyond the usual science.
Barometers have been the subject of my fascination since early childhood from watching my Scottish Grandfather make a production of tapping his barometer, which hung on the wall next to the breakfast table, as he announced the future weather with such authority, usually just to me because I was the only one paying attention. It was pure magic, because he was usually right. With time he taught me how to interpret barometric movements which I still remember some 65 years later.
Again I thank you sincerely for creating this site which I browse intently from time to time.Fascinating information!
