This Fortin mercury barometer was made in Tokyo by the firm K Suzuki.  It's incomplete, its missing the glass tube and cistern glass.  I don't know when it was made.  I see online that K Suzuki mercury barometers were used  by the Japan Meteorological Agency as far back as 1923.  The seller thought it was from World War II.  I believe the firm K Suzuki was later known as Tokyo Suzuki.

The barometer scale ranges from 60.5 to 83 cmHg.  It has a rack and pinion scale to take the reading.  The thermometer ranges from -30 to 50 C.  If anyone has information on this instrument, please contact me.
