Otto Bohne Nachfolger

After working in Paris, possibly for Naudet (PHBN), Otto Bohne founded his own factory in Berlin in 1863. His barometers were copies of PHBN barometers, possibly under license since they have the label 'holosteric' (non liquid) which is typical of PHBN barometers. He invented methods of making aneroid barometers temperature compensated. The firm made barometers used in upper air balloon flights in Berlin in the 1890s, and altimeters used in aviation in World War I.
His successors in 1906 were Louis Kurth and Otto Kohlman, who called their firm Otto Bohne Nachfolger (successor). The last that is known of this firm is circa 1927.
