Dr A Mueller (R Fuess) Model 78a Barograph

This Model 78a barograph was made by Dr A Mueller, whose firm is the successor to the R Fuess company. The firm of Dr A Mueller was founded in 1975, so it is newer than that. It has German Weather Service stickers on it, and a 2007 German calibration sticker. It has a 7 day spring-driven clock movement.
MS Augustus
I bought this barograph from the ship breakers in India. They indicated that it was aboard the passenger liner MS Augustus, which was launched in 1950 for the Italian Line. She served mainly between Genoa and South America, but was put in North Atlantic service in 1957 following the loss of the Andrea Doria. She left the Italian Line in 1976 and served with various other lines until ending up as a floating hotel in Manila in 1999. She was sold for scrap in 2012.
