Wallace & Tiernan ML-436 US Army Signal Corps Assman Psychrometer
This is a US Army Signal Corps ML-436 Assman Psychrometer from 1951. It was made by Wallace & Tiernan and was part of a Signal Corps AN/PMQ-1 Manual Meterological Station. The station came with a case of ML-439 and ML-440 thermometers to fit the psychrometer. This is pictured below:
The steel case contains 3 ML-439 and 1 ML-440 thermometers. The ML-440 is the one with the smaller bulb. One of the thermometers was made by Weksler and one was made by H-B Instruments, the other two are unlabeled.
The psychrometer is about 11.5 inches long and weighs 1.5 pounds.
