An Assmann psychrometer is a wet bulb psychrometer with a clockwork-driven fan that aspirates the wet bulb. I don't know the date of manufacture of this model 753 R Fuess Assmann psychrometer, but R Fuess went out of business in 1976. The mercury thermometers range from -30 C to 40 C, the wick is wetted manually. The clock drive still works but I haven't tried taking a reading with it. It's overall height is about 8.5 inches and came in a leather case, as shown.
