This Model 1218 Fortin mercury barometer was made by the W M Welch Company of Chicago, Illinois, USA. It's shown in the 1949 through 1968 Welch catalogs which are available on this website. It has a 6mm mercury tube. The brass barometric pressure scale ranges from 24 to 32.7 in Hg and from 61 to 81.3 cmHg, with a vernier scale readable to 0.002 in Hg or 0.05 mmHg. It was usable to about 6,000 feet above sea level. The mercury thermometer ranges from 10 to 120 degrees Fahrenheit, with an equivalent Celsius range.

The barometer is not working, there is no mercury in it. It's mounted on a Welch Model 1220 wooden mounting board.
