The Sussfeld Lorsch Company was founded in 1854 as an importer of optical products from Europe. In the late 1800s the name was changed to Sussfeld, Lorsch and Schimmel.  In 1929 the company was incorporated as Selsi Company, Inc.  After WWII they imported from the Far East.  They continue in operation with their office in New Jersey.  They imported weather instruments for the home market.
