Wallace and Tiernan
Charles Wallace and Martin Tiernan founded the firm of Wallace & Tiernan in New York in 1913. Their primary product was equipment for the chlorination of water. The company moved to Belleville, New Jersey in 1921. They began making precision pressure instruments in 1930. They became part of Pennwalt Corporation in 1969. Manufacture of pressure instruments has since been moved to Germany.
