Harry Weksler was an English glassblower who emigrated to the US and founded the Weksler Thermometer Company in St Louis, Missouri in 1920. The company moved to Freeport, New York in 1952, and became Weksler Instruments Corporation in the 1950s. Weksler Instruments was sold to Dresser Industries in 1995, but Weksler Glass Thermometer Corporation continues as a family-run business.
