Central Scientific Company (CENCO)
The Central Scientific Company was founded in Chicago in 1900, incorporating the assets of the W A Olmstad Scientific Company and the Central School Supply House. They were suppliers of science teaching equipment to schools and universities. In 1909 they started using the trademark "CENCO". In 1979 the name was changed to CSC Scientific Company, and most of the CENCO assets were sold to Sargent-Welch.
