American Schaeffer & Budenberg

Schaeffer & Budenberg was founded in 1850 in Magdeburg, Germany. They manufactured pressure gauges for the steam industry. They opened American Schaeffer & Budenberg in Brooklyn, New York in 1876. The American branch was sold to the American Gauge and Valve Company in 1919, which was then sold to Manning Maxwell and Moore in 1923. MM&M was acquired by Dresser Industries in 1964.
Mostly they manufactured industrial pressure gauges, but they also made thermometers including some wall thermometers.
