I'm really not sure of the manufacturer's name for this barometer, on the internet they are sometimes referred to as 'Takahashi' and sometimes as 'Osaka'.  Takahashi city is in Okayama Prefecture and is not that close to Osaka.  On the other hand, Takahashi is a very common surname in Japan and the company may be named after someone.  I can't find any data on the history of the company on the internet.  If a Japanese visitor to the website can straighten me out, I would appreciate it.  

The dial face has the numbers 34 and 1 inscribed.  I interpret that to mean it was made in January of the 34th year of the Showa era in the old Japanese calendar, or about 1960.  The dial face is a little over 5.5 inches in diameter, and it is about 2.5 inches deep.  It has a Celsius spirit thermometer at the bottom of the dial face.  I obtained it from the ship breakers in India, so it probably had a long useful life.  It still works reasonably well.
