Gidrometpribor OAO (Moscow)
Gidrometpribor OAO (Moscow) is a Russian manufacturer of meteorological instruments . I believe they started as the Moscow plant of the Gidromet Scientific Production Association, the state-owned producer of hydrological and meteorological instruments in the USSR. Gidromet is Russian for hydrometeorology and pribor means instrument. The company is located in Balashikha near Moscow. With the changes in the USSR/Russia in the 1980s and 1990s they were privatized in 1992 and subsequently became a 'Joint Stock Company' (abbreviated OAO in Russian) and continued to produce meteorological instruments.
