This Fischer Type 103 marine barometer was made by Kurt Fischer KG in Drebach in East Germany. It is shown in the 1961 Fischer catalog available on this website but with a different dial face and indicator needle. This unit is older than 1990 since it says 'Made in GDR' instead of 'Made in Germany'. The Fischer company indicates it dates from 1972 to 1990.  It probably had a long useful life as it came from the ship breakers in India.  It still works well.

It has a lightweight aluminum housing and the dial face is about 4.75 inches in diameter.  The 103PM model continues to be marketed by Fischer in their current catalog, which may be found here.
