I have two BAMM-1 barometers.  The first BAMM-1 barometer, shown above, was manufactured in 1989 by Safonovsky Gidrometpribor in the Soviet Union. It has a plastic case and bezel but a glass lens.  The mechanism inside is simple but fairly robust.  The dial face is about 5 inches in diameter, which reads in kPa.  I have it set to local pressure, it works quite well.

The second BAMM-1 barometer was manufactured in 1978 by Safonovsky Gidrometpribor. It is non-functional. The inner mechanism is considerably more fragile than for the 1989 BAMM-1. A copper wire connects the pressure mechanism to a small pulley that drives the indicator needle. The wire is broken and I've been unsuccessful in replacing it. The case appears to be Bakelite, with a metal bezel. The dial face is about 5.25 inches in diameter, and it has a Celsius thermometer on the face.
