Joshua Gabriel Paulin of Sweden developed these barometers and surveying altimeters which were manufactured in Eskilstuna, Sweden and Los Angeles, California. He received patents for his design in the USA in 1919 (US Patent 1,315,858) and in 1926 (US Patent 1,580,568). The company moved to Cottonwood, Arizona in 1997 but appears to have gone out of business.
