This is a small barograph made in France by Maxant, I’m not sure of its age. It's only 8 inches wide and and the chart drum is 2.6 inches in diameter. It has a spring-driven 7 day clock. It uses a MET1002 chart supplied by Metcheck of the UK. The chart range is 28.5 to 31 inHg. It has a plaque indicating that it was sold by Manhattan Marine of New York for shipboard use. Manhattan Marine & Electric Company was founded in 1923 and I believe was still in business in the 2000s.
