Sadly, Gerhard Stoehr passed away on February 9 in Riedlingen, Germany. He was 79 years old.  Mr Stoehr was a noted author of several books in German on the history of meteorological instruments.  He contributed his instrument catalog collection to the development of this website, for which I will always be grateful.  May he rest in peace.

He will for years help expand my knowledge of the instruments of the antiques. His four books are a gem of knowledge of meteorological instruments. Rest in peace.
