Today I posted a meteorological instrument catalog from English manufacturer J Hicks.  It's undated but probably dates from 1861-1870s based on their street address.  It's 177 pages long.

Today I posted a 22 page excerpt from a 512 page, 1976 catalog from Abbeon of Santa Barbara, Callifornia.  It shows the meteorological instruments they carried, mostly from Lufft.

Today I posted photos and descriptions of 2 more weather forecasting slide rules:

• A Pilot's Weather Computer CK-1 produced by the Weems Division of Jeppesen & Co in 1959.  It is for use by pilots to predict the impact of thunderstorms and icing on flight conditions.
• The WeatherCycler, developed by Ira W Geer for use by The Weather School in Brockport, NY in 1984.  It uses observation of a surface weather map to make weather forecasts.
