I have fallen behind in adding the instruments in my collection to the website.  In the last few days I added nine aneroid barometers to the website, including the following:

1. A CENCO desk barometer, actually manufactured by Swift & Anderson.
2. A Changchun DYM3 barometer from China.
3. A Fischer Type 103 marine barometer.
4. Another Friez WWII ship's barometer made for the US Navy (Listed as Friez #3).
5. A Lilley & Gillie marine barometer.
6. A Naudet barometer.
7. An Observator marine barometer.
8. A SUNDO marine barometer.
9. A Wallace & Tiernan ML-102-D 1944 US Army barometer.

Each of these instruments now has a web page in the 'Weather Instrument Collection' section of the website, under ' Aneroid Barometers'.  If anyone can contribute any information on these instruments, please email me.

I will be adding more thermometers and hygrometers after December 1, due to the US Thanksgiving holiday.

Today I added more CENCO catalog meteorological excerpts (from 1909, 1912, and 1936) and more Eimer & Amend catalog meteorological excerpts (from 1913 and 1936).  A 1929 CENCO catalog is coming shortly. In the next couple days I will be adding more instruments to the instrument collection section of the website.

Regarding the comment, Swift & Anderson used that name from 1929 to 1959.  I have a 1949 S&A catalog on the website and that doesn't show the instrument you describe.  That's all the information I have at this time.  If I knew more on S&A I would put it on the website.  It might help if you sent me a picture of the barometer.

In my last post I described a problem that recently posted PDF files couldn't be opened on Apple iPads and iPhones.  After much work I came across a way of creating the PDFs that avoids the problem.  I'm still not sure what was going wrong, and I think it only affected the CENCO catalog files that I created and posted in the last week.  I have rescanned the CENCO catalogs and uploaded them again to the website.  They can now be downloaded, at least on my iPad and iPhone.  There was never a problem downloading the catalogs on a Windows computer or Mac.

I've had a problem with the CENCO catalog files I posted on the website a couple days ago,  They won't download on Apple iPad and iPhone devices.  They download fine when I'm on my Windows 10 desktop computer.  Apparently something went wrong with the encoding of the CENCO PDF files when I scanned them.  I will have to rescan them and will post the corrected files in a couple days.

Meanwhile I added a catalog page for Eimer & Amend in the US catalog section of the website.  I uploaded one 1920 catalog and will add several more catalogs in the next few days.  This file is downloading ok on my iPhone and iPad.

In the last couple days I added catalog pages to the website for the Standard Thermometer Company and the Central Scientific Company (CENCO).  They're in the US catalog section. In a few days I'll add a catalog page for Eimer & Amend, which was a US scientific instrument supplier from 1851 to the 1940s, when they were acquired by Fisher Scientific Company.  I will also add more barometers and thermometers to the instrument collection section.

I've been away from the website with bronchitis.  I've also been distracted by the Chicago Cubs' World Series win.

Today I updated the barometer calibration and accuracy analysis with data from September 2016.  I apologize for the delay in providing this data, I've been sick with a cold.

A link has been added to the site to the IMAPP website.  IMAPP was formed by a group of meteorological artifact collectors to create a central catalog of weather collections, large and small, around the world.  Collectors are encouraged to register their artifacts to promote their preservation and to document the history of meteorology.  The link to the IMAPP website may be found on the home page or here.

Today I added two more aneroid barometers to the instrument collection section of the website.  One is a Japanese OTA Keiki Seisakusho marine barometer.  It is very massive but unfortunately is not working yet.  I found it at a relatively low cost and am still working on repairing it.  The other is a small barometer by the Swift Instrument Company in the USA.

I also added two psychrometric calculators to the instrument collection section.  One is a large US military CP-165A/UM calculator, the other is a UK Met Office Humidity Slide Rule.  I also added text for the other psychrometric calculators on the site, previously there were only photos.  Psychrometric calculators may be found in the hygrometer section of the instrument collection.

Today I posted 5 more instruments in the collection section of the website.  These included:

1. A Julien P Friez & Sons barograph from the 1910s or 1920s that was used by the US Coast & Geodetic Survey.
2. A Yanagi Type 6 marine barometer from 1983.
3. A Fischer Type 103 marine barometer.
4. A GMS barometer that was reportedly used by the Soviet air force.
5. A Henry J Green, US Weather Bureau pattern, Type 103 mercury maximum thermometer.

I hope to post a few more instruments in the next several days.

In the last few days I posted an interesting pamphlet from 1885 called "Corrections of Thermometers".  It was published by the US Signal Service.  It's located under 'Miscellaneous Downloads' on the 'Thermometer Downloads' page.

I also added numerous links to aid in navigation of the site.  Most pages have a link back to the home page. The instrument collection pages have links to the instrument catalog pages.

In the next several days I plan to add several aneroid barometers to the instrument collection section.  I will update the barometer calibration analysis at the end of September.
