Today I posted excerpts from a 1996 catalog from Swift Instrument Company showing the meteorological instruments they sold.  It's in the US section of the catalog collection, under Swift and Anderson.

I also posted a 98 page book from 1900, "Evolution of the Thermometer 1592-1743" by H Bolton.  It may be found under Miscellaneous Downloads/Instrument Document Downloads/Thermometer Document Downloads.

Today I added several catalog excerpts from a 1960s Lambrecht meteorological instrument caatalog.  This included catalog sections on mercury barometers, barographs, thermographs, hygrographs, and hygrometers.  They may be found on the Lambrecht webpage, under Germany in the Weather Instrument Catalog Collection.

Today I posted some additional weather instrument catalog documents:

• From the 1920s, a brochure describing barographs and thermographs made by the German company Goerz.
• From 1935 and 1936, catalog excerpts describing meteorographs and barothermographs made by the German company R Fuess.
• From 1921, a catalog excerpt describing meteorological instruments sold by the US company Dietzgen.
• From 1927, a catalog excerpt describing meteorological instruments sold by the US company Central Scientific Co (CENCO).

These documents may be found in the catalog collection section of the website under the respective countries of origin.

Today I started posting an extensive weather instrument catalog from the early 1960s from Lambrecht of Germany. I am posting the catalog sheets in segments based on the type of instrument described. I'll have it all scanned and posted in about a week.

A also added an Ambient Weather storm glass to the instrument collection on the website. I chose to fill it with mineral oil rather than water, because mineral oil has a much lower vapor pressure so it doesn't evaporate much. For $13 plus shipping it was a novel addition to the collection.

Today I scanned and posted a 32 page catalog from the US instrument manufacturer and distributor Swift & Anderson.  I believe it is from the late 1950s as it is catalog #600 and Swift & Anderson changed their name to Swift Instrument Company in 1959.

Today I added a 6 page catalog excerpt for the Kollsman altimeter setting barometer that was already on the website in the instrument collection.

Today I scanned and posted for download the 1912 Fourth Edition of of Charles F Marvin's booklet "Barometers and the Measurement of Atmospheric Pressure".  It's 109 pages.  The Seventh Edition from 1941 was previously posted on the website.
