Today I added a section to the Instrument Collection web pages for rain gauges and evaporation meters.  I also posted 3 rain gauges to the website:

1. A 8-Inch US National Weather Service pattern rain gauge made by WS Jenks.
2. A 5-Inch Snowdon rain gauge made in the UK by Casella.
3. A 3-inch rain gauge made by Taylor Instruments.

Today I added 3 miscellaneous slide rules for wind, solar and data reporting applications.  I still have some weather forecasting slide rules that I will add to the website in a couple days.

Today I added 3 pressure/altitude slide rules to the website.  These are really aviation oriented objects but have a meteorological flavor.

Today I added 5 psychrometric slide rules to the website.  I moved the slide rules to a separate section of the Instrument Collection webpage.  I have 8 more (non-psychrometric) slide rules that I'll add over the next week or so.

Today I added a Casella Model 6100 Campbell Stokes Sunshine Recorder to the instrument collection section of the website.  Go to Casella Sunshine Recorder Page.

I also added an Eppley Model 10 Pyranometer to the website, where it joins the Model 50 Pyrheliometers that were already there.  Go to Eppley Model 10 Page.

Today I posted 4 documents to the website:

• From 1972, a catalog from Bacharach Instruments. It's 22 pages long and includes their temperature and humidity instruments but not their Baroscribe pressure recorder. Go to Bacharach Catalog Page.
• From 1927, a short pamphlet called "Facts about Rainfall" published by Taylor Instruments. It's 11 pages long and may be found on the Rain Gauge Download Page. Go to Rain Gauge Download Page.
• From 1965, US Weather Bureau Form 621-7, "Official Weather Observer's Record".  It's in the Observer Manual Download Section of the Website.  Go to Observer Manual Download Page.
• A 1966 Airguide weather instrument catalog has been added to the Airguide catalog page.  It's 9 pages long and in black & white.  Go to Airguide Catalog Page.

I've been away too long. I have many instruments and documents to add to the website and hope to get to it shortly.

Today I added 2 weather instrument catalogs to the website, available for download:

• From 1940, a R Fuess weather instrument short catalog. It's 36 pages.  Go to R Fuess catalog page.

 

• From 1937, a M C Stewart anemometer catalog.  It's 18 pages.  Go to M C Stewart catalog page.

From 1946, a 302 page Weather Glossary published by the US Weather Bureau has been added to the website and is available for download.  It may be found on the Reference Downloads page in the Miscellaneous Downloads section of the website.

Today I posted two Wallace & Tiernan pressure instrument documents:

• A 4 page catalog sheet for a W&T FA-126 custom calibrated precision barometer, probably from the 1950s.
• A 45 page W&T altimetry manual for their analog altimeters, from 1953.
