Today I posted 5 more instruments in the collection section of the website. These included:

- A Julien P Friez & Sons barograph from the 1910s or 1920s that was used by the US Coast & Geodetic Survey.
- A Yanagi Type 6 marine barometer from 1983.
- A Fischer Type 103 marine barometer.
- A GMS barometer that was reportedly used by the Soviet air force.
- A Henry J Green, US Weather Bureau pattern, Type 103 mercury maximum thermometer.

In the last few days I posted an interesting pamphlet from 1885 called "Corrections of Thermometers". It was published by the US Signal Service. It's located under 'Miscellaneous Downloads' on the 'Thermometer Downloads' page.
I also added numerous links to aid in navigation of the site. Most pages have a link back to the home page. The instrument collection pages have links to the instrument catalog pages.
In the next several days I plan to add several aneroid barometers to the instrument collection section. I will update the barometer calibration analysis at the end of September.

Yesterday I received my copy of Gerhard Stoehr's new book (in German) "Aneroid-Barometer, die robuste Alternative". It is an excellent guide to the history of aneroid barometers. Although my German is very rusty, the book is loaded with color photographs and illustrations that make it useful to any barometer collector or instrument historian. I highly recommend it. Ordering information was provided in my August 18, 2016 blog post on this website.
