Today I expanded the catalog web pages on Russian instrument manufacturers.  Based on information I could find on the internet, and a lot oif help from Google Translate, I've tried to explore the history of Russian barometer manufacture.  I've just scratched the surface, if anyone can add more information please email me.  You'll find the new web pages under Weather Instrument Catalog Collection/Russia.

Today I added a web pages for anemometers in the instrument collection on the website.  It currently includes four anemometers.  I have one more to add, but ran out of time.

Today I added web pages for the US instrument suppliers Dietzgen and Keuffel & Esser (K & E).  Though they were both primarily suppliers of drafting equipment and surveying instruments, they did supply a limited range of meteorological instruments which occasionally turn up for sale.  I posted a few extracts from some of their catalogs showing the meteorological instruments, the entire catalogs are about 500 pages long.  I will be adding more catalog extracts over the next few weeks.

Today I added a 60 page 1975 catalog from Sierra Weather Instrument Corporation, or SWI.  They were a meteorological instrument supplier in California in business in the 1970s.  As far as I can tell they are no longer in business.  There is a flow meter manufacturer called Sierra Instrument, but I don't know if they are the current successor to SWI.

Today I posted catalog pages for meteorological instruments marketed by the Kahl Scientific Instrument Corporation, or KAHLSICO, of El Cajon, California.  They appear to date from the late 1970s and early 1980s.

I also added five instruments to the instrument collection section of the website, including:

1. A Lambrecht Model 194 hygrometer.
2. A GMP Model MD-49-2 aneroid barometer.
3. A KAHLSICO hygrograph.
4. A Short & Mason Model 2362 hygrograph.
5. A Casella Model T6554 thermograph.

Since last night, I'm having problems with the website.  It seems to have lost the ordering that the web pages go in.  When you search for "Analog Weather" it doesn't always go to the home page, but often to an internal pages of the website.  If you go to the menu in the upper right corner of any page, you can select the home page and then it seems to work OK.  I've called Weebly (my website program service) about the problem and they say it is a known bug they are working on.  They didn't have an estimate for when it would be fixed, so please excuse the temporary problem.

Today I upgraded the photos for all of the dial thermometers and dial hygrometers in the instrument collection section of the website.  I also added a large dial thermometer by the Amesbury Thermometer Company.  In the next few days I will upgrade the photos for the glass bulb thermometers and hygrometers.

Today I added a marine barometer made by R Fuess of Germany to the instrument collection website.  I believe it is older than 1976 since R Fuess went out of business in that year.  It was another acquisition from the ship breakers in India, and it works well.

I also upgraded the photographs for the remaining aneroid barometers on the website, except for the OTA barometer.  That barometer is currently disassembled on my workbench, awaiting repair.

Today I upgraded the photographs of the first 17 aneroid barometers in the instrument collection section of the website.  I bought a photographic copy stand with lighting for my digital camera, and the results are much better than before.  I will try to rephotograph the remaining aneroid barometers this weekend.

Today I added the calculated non-linearity of the aneroid and digital barometers based on December 2016 data.  This is based on calculated error values compared witrh my mercury barometer.  This may be found at:
